Rosacea Skin Care Routine

Natural Skincare for Rosacea

For the past 7 years, we’ve been handcrafting our Bee Haven Bodycare range and listening closely to feedback from our wonderful customers. Their experiences have shown us which products can really help calm and support skin with rosacea—especially when choosing a more natural route.

We’re proud to have received 350+ five-star reviews, which you can explore [HERE].

To keep things simple, all of the products mentioned below are linked so you can easily add them to your basket as you read.

Understanding Rosacea

Rosacea is often influenced by internal factors, such as hormones or other underlying triggers (something we can’t advise on medically). But from working with our customers, we’ve learned that external skincare choices can make a huge difference in how symptoms feel and look.

Here’s what we’ve seen:

  • Shop-bought lathering products and facial washes containing detergents often make rosacea worse.

  • These synthetic ingredients strip the skin, leaving it dry, flaky, and irritated.

  • Many customers report more visible redness, inflamed pustules (spots), and increased sensitivity after using them.

The good news? By switching to gentle, natural alternatives, many of our customers have noticed their skin feels calmer, more hydrated, and less reactive.

And while we can’t make medical claims, you’ll find plenty of research about how honey has been used for centuries to help with redness and inflammation. (We’ll let you go down that rabbit hole 😉).

Lifestyle Tips for Rosacea

Skincare is important, but rosacea is also affected by lifestyle and environmental triggers. These simple changes can make a big difference:

  • 🚿 Keep showers lukewarm – hot water can worsen redness and irritation.

  • 🌶️ Watch for food triggers – spicy food, alcohol, and caffeine are common culprits for flare-ups.

  • 🌞 Protect your skin from the sun – wear a mineral-based SPF and avoid harsh midday sun.

  • 💆 Be gentle with your skin – avoid harsh scrubs, exfoliators, and rough towels. Pat your face dry instead of rubbing.

  • ❄️ Manage temperature changes – sudden heat, cold winds, or moving from cold outdoors to warm indoors can trigger flushing.

  • 😴 Prioritise sleep & stress management – stress and fatigue often make symptoms worse.

  • 🧴 Keep products simple – fragrance-free, natural, and minimal routines tend to work best.
